Saints celebrated on the 14th of June
SAINT GERASIMUS OF CALABRIA, RELIGIOUS
Of Saint Gerasimus, of the Order of Saint Basil, whose festival is variously listed as June 14, March 5, and May 14), nothing is known except his fatherland (Calabria). Romäus* mentions a town called Saint Laurence (S. Lotero) near Leucopetra (Capo di Leuca) as his place of residence. His veneration has also ceased (II. 974).
In a calendar of the Basilians used by the Bollandists* he is called Abbot, and March 5 is stated as his feast day. Perhaps the reason for this was a confusion of this Calabrian monk with the Palestinian abbot of that name. (Jun. VI. 127).
