Saints celebrated on the 8th of December
SAINT SOPHRONIUS, BISHOP
Today, we also commemorate Saint Sophronius. The Roman Martyrology states:
"In Cyprus, the holy bishop Sophronius, who was a devoted protector of orphans and widows, and a friend to the poor and the oppressed."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Sophronius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
