Saints celebrated on the 21st of May
WILLIAM, BISHOP OF NEVERS
William (Guilielmus), Bishop of Nevers (Nivernum) in France, bears the suffix "of Saint Lazarus". He distinguished himself by his extraordinary love for the poor, and found many opportunities to come to their assistance as bishop. Galesinius mentions his name among the 'saints'. Indeed, on important holidays, his burial place used to be solemnly incensed. He died May 21, 1221. (Mart. I. 359) Bishop William is also commemorated on March 5.
