SAINT EPICTITUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
In Spain, Saint Epictitus, Aptonus, Basil (Basilius) and another Aptonus lost their lives for the sake of the Christian faith. According to some, the martyr Basil was the bishop of Braga in Portugal at the time, and Epictitus held this position in Tuy in Gallicia (Gallaecia). (v. 248)
