Saint Euphemia suffered in Constantinople during the reign of the the Arian Emperor Valens. Her companions in martyrdom were: Saints Acacius, Ammonius, Thomas, Triphon, Menelaus, Cerealis, Heraclius, Eulogius, a second Eulogius, Cionia, Julian, Demetrius, Horestes, Heliodorus, Strategus, Amedinus, Jocundus, Martyrius, Ammus, Sestratus, Timothy, Cionius and Cyrian .
