SAINT EUPHRASIUS, BISHOP OF CLERMONT
According to Butler* (VI. 454), Euphrasius was the successor of Saint Aprunculus in the episcopal see of Auvergne. Some time later, he was transferred to Clermont, and was the thirteenth in the order of bishops there. In A.D. 506 the priest Paulus represented him at the Council of Agde (Agathopolis); that of Orleans in 511 he attended in person himself. His holy death occurred in the year 514, 515 or 516. (Jan. I. 932)
