SAINT EUROSIA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR
The legend that relates that Saint Eurosia was a Bohemian king's daughter and was killed by the Moors has not been sufficiently proven.
It is much more likely that she was Spanish by birth, perhaps from Aragon, and was martyred in the eighth century.
So much is certain, however, that her body rests at Jaca, in the Spanish province of Tarragon, and her head at Hiebra, from which blood is said to flow at a certain times. Her prayers are asked for rain at Tarragon and at other places, mostly in Spain. (v. 88)
