SAINT EUSTATHIUS, BISHOP OF CIO
Saint Eustathius, a confessor and bishop of Cio, a town in Bithynia (now Ghio, Ghemblic), was first a simple monk, then became priest and finally bishop, as which he distinguished himself by holy zeal against the teachers of falsities. He had to suffer a lot from those heretics. In the end he had to go into exile. He also died there. (III. 790)
