SAINT OSTRATUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
Some hagiographers state that these holy martyrs, Ostratus (Sostratus), Spirus, Eraclius, Eperentius and Cecilia suffered at Sirmium, others suppose Nicaea to have been the place of their suffering. In absence of detailed written documents, the exact time and location of their heroic deaths cannot be ascertained. (II. 578.)
