Saints celebrated on the 25th of June
SAINTS PETER AND FEBRONIA
Saint Peter was the son of a devout Christian prince and had married Febronia, also of Ruthenian princely family. They lived holy lives and sought to gather merit for eternity by prayer; fasting and giving alms.
At an advanced age Peter entered a monastery, where he was given the name David. Febronia entered a nunnery and took the name Euphrosina. Both concluded their earthly their lives there. Their bodies were solemnly buried at Muran in Greater Russia. The dates, however, are not provided. Many miracles were wrought at her tomb; her festival is celebrated on June 25. (v. 111)
