BLESSED ODO, ABBOT OF TAGLIACOZZO
Blessed Odo, an abbot of the Carthusian Order, was born at Novara around A.D. 1140. He lived mostly at Tagliacozzo, not far from Tivoli, where he had a special cell near the monastery church of Saint Cosmas, spending his time in constant prayer and contemplation. He died in 1230.
Ten years after his death, Pope Gregory IX commissioned an extensive examination of the miracles Odo had performed and thereupon permitted his veneration. (I. 978)
