EVERARD, MARQUIS OF FRIULI
Everard (Everardus, Eberhard), French: St-Evrard, was, according to Migne*, who calls him "Saint", a Marquis of Friuli, and also Count of Tarandria in the Netherlands. In A.D. 838, he founded a monastery in Cisoin (Cisonium) in Flanders. Everard died in the middle of the 9th century. His body is kept in a beautiful silver case in the monastery he established. He is probably the same person whom the Elenchus* refers to as "Princ. cison. in Belg.". (Mg)
