SAINT EVE, MARTYR OF CARTHAGE
Saint Eve (Eva) was martyred with Saint Saturninus. Saint Saturninus, Saint Dativus, and 46 others were taken captive in Carthage and brought before the governor Annulinus. Because all of them remained steadfast in their Christian faith, he had them cruelly tortured to death. These events took place in A.D. 304, during the reign of Diocletian. (Mg.)
