SAINT AUDITUS OF BRAGA
Saint Auditus (the Portuguese pronunciation is "Ouvido" and therefore this Saint is also called Ovidius), was a native of Braga (Bracara) in Portugal and posterity mistakenly took him for a bishop there - he is also occasionally mixed up with Saint Avitus of Leon. Nothing else is known about Auditus than that his mortal remains were solemnly placed in a new container by Archbishop Didacus de Sousa in 1527, and that deaf people regained their hearing through this saint's intercession.
