SAINT ORSISIUS, ABBOT
Saint Orsisius (Ortisius), abbot, was the successor of Saint Pachomius at Tabenna in the Thebais, and elected abbot on his recommendation, but later encountered such opposition from the monks that he felt compelled to abdicate. He died around A.D. 380 at an age of eighty. (II. 1054-1057)
