SAINT PAPIAS, MARTYR OF DIOSPOLIS
Commemorated on February 25 and January 30, Saint Papias (Pappias) was a martyr at Diospolis in Egypt. The Greek Menaea* (Menaea Graeca) state that this holy martyr suffered in Corinth (Jan. II. 1025). Papias, Serapion and others died by beheading; they were companions of Saint Victorinus (III. 488.)
