Saints celebrated on the 7th of July
Paula of the Mother of God (Paula de Matre Dei) was an Ursuline nun in Montelimar. Immediately after her investiture she was employed to teach the Christian doctrines, in which she distinguished herself by her lively presentation and thorough knowledge of the mysteries of the faith. Dead to this world, she led a strict and holy life. For 20 years she alternately presided over several monasteries as superior and, after several years of preparation, she passed away gently in the Lord on July 7, 1675 at the age of 71 (Tagb. II. 33).
