ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN APRIL
Saints celebrated on the 19th of April
Saint Paphnutius (commemorated on April 19), a 4th century bishop and martyr particularly venerated among the Greeks, is a different person from the bishop of Jerusalem of the same name. Paphnutius was killed by the sword. His holy relics, formerly kept and venerated in Constantinople, exuded healing oil. He is invoked to promote peace and concord within the church (II. 623).
