Saints celebrated on the 28th of September
SAINT ALODIUS, BISHOP OF AUXERRE
Saint Alodius (Alodus, Elodus), commemorated on September 28, was bishop of Auxerre in Burgundy and first abbot of the monastery of Saint Germanus in this city, but was elevated to the episcopal see there after the latter's death. He flourished in the second half of the fifth century and ruled the church of Auxerre for thirty years.
