ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 5th of December
He entered the Congregation of Clugny (Cluny) and soon became very famous for the purity of his life and his musical talents, so much so that Bishop Bernard of Toledo gave him the position of cantor at his cathedral church.
Saint Gerald was eventually appointed Archbishop of Braga in Portugal. He preached with great zeal and watched over the flock entrusted to him with tender care. He died as the father of the poor at the beginning of the 12th century (according to Migne* in 1109). Miracles through his intercession occurred both during Gerald's lifetime and after his death. He is venerated particularly at Burgos in Castile. (Lech., El.)
