CLAUDE, BISHOP OF AUXERRE
Claude (Claudius), remembered on March 20 and March 30, was Bishop of Auxerre and founder of the Academy in Paris. Buc. Sppl.* states that he was from Ireland and a college of Blessed Alcuin. He died in 818 and was buried in the church of Saint Amator.
