ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER
Saints celebrated on the 16th of October
SAINT BERNERIUS, HERMIT
Saint Bernerius, commemorated on October 16, descended from a noble family in Spain, but renounced all claims that he could make on the world and instead took to visiting a myriad of holy places, sustaining himself by begging for his living at people's doors. His pilgrimages also took him to Italy, where he eventually settled. Eevee in the Diocese of Salerno was the place where he built himself a cell. He died towards the end of the 12th century, rich in merits.
