ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 6th of September
Saint Sapphirus (September 6), patron of St Julien (Cher), with the surname: le Pauvre, in the diocese of Bourges in France, is called Confessor by Guerin*. No further information is known about this saint. In one painting he is depicted with an island on his head, which would suggest his dignity as a bishop or abbot if one were convinced of the authority and age of the picture. The French also call him St Sassier.
