VENERABLE STEPHANUS RABACH, RELIGIOUS

Venerable Stephanus Rabach (September 5), of the Augustinian Order, was the founder of the Congregation of Saint William (Wilhelm, Guillaume). He was born in Valives (Voves) in the diocese of Chartres in 1556.

After completing his theological studies, he became a doctor at the Sorbonne and then worked on the reformation of his Order, which he began in the Convent of Bourges in 1594 and introduced in several Augustinian monasteries, especially in Orleans. These combined reformed monasteries became known as "Congregation of Saint William” accepted. Stephanus died in Angers in the odor of sanctity on September 5, 1616, 60 years old.

WELCOME! SAINT LAURA OF CORDOBA, WIDOW AND MARTYR Laura, a widow and martyr of Cordoba in Spain, is mentioned in the Spanish martyrology of Tamajode Salazar, who refers to Luitprand, where it says the following: St Laura is said to have been of a noble family, and according to the wishes of her parents she married an equally noble man and gave birth to two daughters. After the death of her husband and her daughters, she went to the monastery of St Aurea, named St-Maria de Cuteclara, and after her martyrdom led the same for nine years as her successor.
