ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST
Saints celebrated on the 20th of August
Adelaide (Adelheidis), Virgin and Recluse, is remembered on August 20. Artur du Monstier* lists her on this day with the title "Saint". She was a disciple of Saint Ugebeda, who rendered great service to the restoration of the Order of Hermits (cloisters). She lived for many years as a recluse until she was freed from her double imprisonment, namely that of her body and of the freely chosen confinement of her cell, and instead entered the heavenly freedom of the children of God.
