WELCOME!
BLESSED ELIAS, ABBOT
Blessed Elias (Helias), commemorated on April 12, was an abbot of Cologne. A native of Scotland (according to Trithemius), Elias came to Germany and headed the two monasteries of St Pantaleon and St Martin in Cologne. Bucelin*, who calls him Helias in his text, states that he flourished in 1030. According to Lechner*, Elias went to his eternal reward in 1041.
