SAINT GENESIUS, MARTYR
Saint Genesius is a martyr venerated at Thiers (Tigernum) on the Durolle (Dora) in Auvergne (in Avernis). He seems to be identical with one of the aforementioned. The feast is explained by the presence of a relic. Some light is shed on his identity by Migne*, who describes this holy martyr as a neophyte (a newly baptized person). In the Elenchus* of the Bollandists, he is listed on October 28.
