ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER
Saints celebrated on the 7th of October
WELCOME!
SAINT HUMBERT, MONK
Of Humbert (Humbertus), a monk of the Benedictine monastery of Burbach near Fritzlar, Trithemius* states that he was a holy and well-informed man, a zealous friend of monastic discipline, whose feast is celebrated on October 7. On his authority, Wion, Menardus*, Bucelin*, and Ferrarius*, list Humbert with the title "Saint".
The Bollandists*, in their work, mention him among the praetermissi (III. 788); Mabillon* does not list him at all. None of these writers provide us with the exact years of his birth and death.
