SAINT SCUBICULUS, DEACON AND MARTYR
Saint Scubiculus (Subiculus), Deacon and Martyrer, commemorated on October 11, was a companion of Saint Nicasius.
The hostile heathen captured St Nicasius, who was preaching the gospel in Gaul, near Roche-Goyon, and with him Quirinus (a priest) and Scubiculus (Subiculus).
On the banks of the Epte, where the town of Ecos (Eure) is currently located, they were beheaded and buried on a small island on the river near the village of Gany.
