BERNARDINO PECCHIO, JESUIT AND MARTYR
Bernardino Pecchio (Bernardinus Peccius), remembered on September 15, of the Society of Jesus, was an Italian by birth. Along with another member of his society he was killed on September 15, 1628, in the kingdom of Jafanapatania on the island of Ceylon [Sri Lanka].
