Saints celebrated on the 30th of June
Bernardinus Realini [Bernardino Realino] (June 30, July 2), of the Society of Jesus, was born in Carpi in Lombardy on December 1, 1530, and entered the Society of Jesus in Naples on October 13, 1564, which he glorified through his virtues. He died on July 2, 1616, in Lecce, where he spent the last 42 years of his earthly life. On July 31, 1828, Pope Leo XII declared the heroic nature of his virtues, and the process of his beatification is now pending in Rome. [The above text was originally written in the mid-19th century. Bernardine Realino's beatification took place in 1896 (Pope Leo XIII), and Pope Pius XII canonized him on June 22, 1947.]
His feast day is listed as June 30 by the Elenchus*/Bollandists*.
