ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 24th of November
Albert (Albertus), Count of Monteacuto, is remembered on 24 November. He was held in such high esteem by Saint Francis of Assisi that he was visited by him whenever he travelled through his territory. Albert received the habit of the Third Order from Saint Francis' very own hands.
When Saint Francis once again came to see him and said that he would probably no longer be able to visit him due to his physical weakness, Count Albert requested a keepsake from the famous Saint and was given the habit he had been wearing. This habit remained in Albert's family for 280 years until this treasure came into the possession of the Friars Minor in Florence, where it is still located. This was the very same habit that Saint Francis wore when he received the stigmata on Mount Alverno.
