WELCOME!
BLESSED HERMANN, ABBOT OF ST. PANTALEON
On December 29 and December 30 we remember Hermann (Hermannus), Abbot of St. Pantaleon in Cologne (Germany). He is listed in the Elenchus* of the Bollandists* and also mentioned by Bucelin* on December 29. Lechner's* work features this holy abbot on December 30; both the latter and Bucelin* call him Blessed Hermann. A Count of Zütphen by birth, he was known as "the Humble." Blessed Hermann died in 1120 and was buried in the Chapel of the Cross he had built.
