SAINT ALBINA, VIRGIN AND MARTYR OF FORMIO

Saint Albina was martyred for her faith in Formio in the Campagna during the persecution of Emperor Decius. In 1665, her mortal remains were translated to the Holy Sepulchre in the convent there, and the feast of this transfer is celebrated on May 3. Her name is listed in the Roman Martyrology* on December 16.
