WELCOME!
BLESSED ROMAEUS OF LIVIA, RELIGIOUS
Blessed Romaeus (November 21, November 1), was a Dominican friar, who died in Carcassonne in 1261. He was a native of Livia near Puycerdà (Catalonia) in Spain and is therefore also known as "the Catalan" or "of Livia."
From childhood, he was a fervent devotee of the Mother of God and thus entered the Order of Saint Dominic, where he enlightened the province of Toulouse through his sermons and holy examples. His relics were venerated for a long time but were scattered during the Revolution.
In Church art, he carries a rosary with his favorite words: Ave Maria! (Hail Mary!) (Guerin)

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Blessed Romaeus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
