Saints celebrated on the 30th of May
WELCOME!
Idda of Wetzikon (Idda de Wetzikon) (May 30), born to pious noble parents, first married a count and, after his death, entered the monastery of Töß. She soon distinguished herself in all monastic virtues and was therefore made to assume the office of prioress - against her will. As her final hour approached, another pious nun saw a bright star shining before Idda, whereupon she died. The year of her death is not easily determined. Bucelin*, according to Burgener*, writes that she went to her eternal reward in the year 1332. (VII. 234).
