Saints celebrated on the 3rd of May
WELCOME!
SAINT URSIUS, CONFESSOR
Saint Ursius [Ursus] Confessor, is commemorated on May 3. In his younger years he had killed his wife, his father, and his child in a fit of sudden rage. He subsequently undertook arduous pilgrimages by way of penance and lived in solitude on a mountain near Vicenza, Italy, until his death. His grave, and the church built over it and dedicated to his memory, are visited by many pilgrims (I. 426).
[This saint is also known as San Orso, patron saint of Santorso.]
