SAINT LEGADIA, VIRGIN
![]() |
Saint Legadia, commemorated on October 15, also known as Gaida, is a virgin who appears on this date in a supplement to Bede. The Bollandists* surmise that she is the same person as Saint Leocadia - who is mentioned in the Roman Martyrology* on December 9 - and therefore list her under their Praetermissi* (omitted entries) for October 15 (VII. 5).

PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Legadia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
