WELCOME!
BLESSED BRONISLAVA, VIRGIN |
Blessed Bronislava (August 29), a virgin of the Premonstratensian Order, was a niece of Saint Hyacinth. She renounced the world at the age of sixteen to dedicate herself entirely to God in the convent of Zwierzyniec in Krakow. She went to her eternal reward on August 29, 1259, at the age of forty-six, and was glorified by God through many miracles. The inhabitants of Krakow sought her intercession during the plague of 1707 and the cholera epidemic of 1835; her veneration, which had existed since time immemorial, was formally confirmed by the Apostolic See on August 3, 1839.
