Saints celebrated on the 24th of July
SAINT DECLAN, BISHOP OF ARDMORE
Saint Declan (Declanus), the first bishop of Ardmore in Ireland, which See was later combined with that of Lismore, proclaimed the Christian faith to the Irish shortly before the arrival of Saint Patrick (Patritius). Saint Declan died in the 6th century. He was venerated with great devotion in the Margraviate of Dessia [County Waterford], which was formerly called Nandest.
