Saints celebrated on the 6th of October
SAINT NICETAS, MONK AND CONFESSOR
This Saint Nicetas was a monk and confessor in Greece, of high birth, who died in exile in the year 838 after many sufferings endured for the veneration of the images and the Catholic faith. In art, he is represented as a defender of images with an image of the Redeemer.

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Nicetas may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
