MARIANUS OF SAINT BENEDICT
Marianus of Saint Benedict was Carmelite at Madrid, who died in A.D. 1594 with a reputation for great holiness. He seemed to have chosen Saints Cosmas and Damian as his special patrons. His fellow monks say that these saints appeared to him before his death to take his soul to heaven. The Bollandists* list Marianus among the Praetermissi.
