ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 1st of November
SAINT MARY, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Mary. The Roman Martyrology states:
"The same day, Saint Mary, handmaid. Accused of professing the Christian religion, in the time of the emperor Adrian, she was subjected to cruel scourging, to torture on the rack, and the lacerating of her body with iron hooks, and thus completed her martyrdom."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Mary may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
