ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY
Saints celebrated on the 16th February
Saint Ezekiel was a martyr of Caesarea in Palestine. With Saint Elias and three other Christians he had travelled to Cilicia to visit confessors who had been sentenced to mine work as punishment for being Christians.
On their return they were apprehended at the gates of Caesarea and, by order of Firmilian, commander of the city, they were sentenced to death because of their Christian faith. These events took place in A.D. 309 during the reign of Emperor Maximian II. (Mg.)
