SAINT PARTHENIUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
(S.S. Parthenius et Soc. M.M.)
Saint Parthenius and his companions, martyrs, are listed on this day. Perhaps he is the same person whom we have already named as Parmenius. In the martyrologies, Saints Animatus, Pividius and seven unnamed companions added. Any details about their lives and the manner of their martyrdom are unknown (II. 466).

PRAYER:
Grant to your Church, we beseech you, O Lord, through the intercession of Saint Parthenius and companions, your martyrs, not to think high-mindedly, but to grow in humility pleasing to you; that, despising what is base, she may with unbounded love diligently do whatever is right. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
