SAINT PASICRATES AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS OF SILISTRIA
Saints Pasicrates, Valentius, and two or three others died martyrs at Dorostorum, now Silistria, in Mysia (Moesia). They were soldiers and suffered death by beheading for their Christian faith during the Diocletian persecution. The Greeks venerate them on May 24. They are listed in the Roman Martyrology*. (VI. 23 and 24. VII. 849).
