SAINT PASICRATES AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS OF SILISTRIA - 25 MAY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 25th of May WELCOME! SAINT PASICRATES AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS OF SILISTRIA Saints Pasicrates, Valentius, and two or three others died martyrs at Dorostorum, now Silistria, in Mysia (Moesia). They were soldiers and suffered death by beheading for their Christian faith during the Diocletian persecution. The Greeks venerate them on May 24. They are listed in the Roman Martyrology * .   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 25th of May SAINT PASICRATES AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS Today, we also commemorate Saint Pasicrates and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:   "At Dorostorum, in Mysia, the birthday of the holy martyrs Pasicrates, Valentius, and two others, crowned with them." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Pasicrates, Valentius, and Companions may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
