ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER
Saints celebrated on the 16th of October
Saint Gauderic [Gaudéric](Gaudericus), a holy farmer, is also known as Gualdericus, Galdericus, and Walderich.
According to Migne*, this saint flourished towards the end of the 9th century. In the Languedoc he is invoked against persistent wet weather conditions.
Some of his mortal remains are venerated at the old cathedral of Mirepoix, another portion of relics is kept in Val-de-Grace (Vale of Mercy, Gnadenthal) in Paris. There existed once an abbey church of his name in the diocese of Alby (VII. 1106).
