SAINT JASON, MARTYR OF ROME
![]() |
The Roman Martyrology* lists Saint Jason, commemorated on December 3, a son of Saint Claudius, who was beheaded in Rome. The Bollandists* mention him - along with Saint Maurus - among their Praetermissi (omitted entries) for March 19 (III. 4), September 13 (IV. 52), and October 17 (VIII. 6). On June 6 (I. 624. 4), it is stated that his mortal remains - as well as those of his brother Maurus and of their mother Hilaria - were brought to Lucca by Pope Alexander II, where the latter had previously served as bishop. See Saint Claudius.
