According to the Bollandists*, Guido is listed as "blessed" in the Art. Mart.*. He was a Franciscan at Cetona near Chiusi (Clusium). The Hub. Men.* relates that Guido was often in ecstasy in prayer; his confreres more than once saw him floating like a flame in the air. He lived around 1305.

In 1506 a kind of elevation of his relics took place, but his veneration is not certain. Nothing definite can be found about him, since his name is sometimes Guido de Citonio, sometimes de Setona, and in some sources he is said to have died on January 30, while others state that he passed to his eternal reward on April 30. And because he was so good a son, it cost his father much to give him up to God; but he was too good a Christian to refuse outright. ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER Saints celebrated on the 13th of December Prayer to the Angels and the Saints Heavenly Father, in praising Your Angels and Saints we praise Your glory, for by honouring them we honour You, their Creator. Their splendour shows us Your greatness, which infinitely surpasses that of all creation. In Your loving providence, You saw fit to send Your Angels to watch over us. Grant that we may always be under their protection and one day enjoy their company in heaven. Heavenly Father, You are glorified in Your Saints, for their glory is the crowning of Your gifts. You provide an example for us by their lives on earth, You give us their friendship by our communion with them, You grant us strength and protection through their prayer for the Church, and You spur us on to victory over evil and the prize of eternal glory by this great company of witnesses.
